Tsunami Numbers
by Bob Ciminel

All of these numbers people are throwing around about who gave
what to the tsunami victims, cannot be accurate. I believe the
millions of dollars reported refer to cold cash, but not the
cost of using military personnel and equipment to send and distribute
aid to the affected countries.
When I checked with Amazon.com
today, after sending in my own donation, I found that over $11
million dollars has been donated to the Red Cross by individuals
in this country.
Gee, I wonder how much the
media has donated, considering the millions they've made from
advertising while we were glued to our television sets and computer
screens watching this tragedy unfold?
