To Tyler, Rick, Sara and Joe (and others who care about the future of our youth)... The Revilla Island Prevention Coalition is supporting a youth initiative to answer just this issue (how to support the older teens and young adults with what they need in our community.)

Our second meeting of a group of youth and VISTA workers is scheduled for this Friday afternoon at 4PM. We're been exploring all kinds of ideas... including the re-emergence of the Peace Group (originally sponsored by VISTA worker Doug Osborne about 4 to 5 years ago) and the sponsorship of a "Future Search" process to reach out to all youth stakeholders (and key adult decision makers). I am encouraging the youth to take the lead and we adults to listen and provide mentoring and support as needed.
