I disagree with Mr. Erickson's comments about another Sitnews reader's comments (Mr. Hoff's).  Regardless of where a person lives, the opinions they can promote on issues here in Ketchikan and southeast Alaska are important.  It's called critical thinking Mr. Erickson, a process that considers all possible opinions and factors from all sources.

On January 5th, 2005 Lilian Filanis made the following statement: "First let me say that I enjoy SITNEWS so much more now that we are having intelligent debate from people all over the world on issues in the news. For me, this makes SITNEWS more fun to read and adds perspectives I would ordinarily not get to know."

And... ''It is clear that nothing can bring the good to light, or expose the evil, but full and free discussion.'' Thomas Cooper - Educator, journalist, 1830

I second these comments.
