I also enjoyed A Ketchikan 'Auld Lange Syne' but I think Colleen
is right, the building in the lower right is the old Wingren
Court and the one in the upper left in Tongass Towers.
My Mom and Dad and I lived
in Tongass Towers in the early 1960's, but I remember it being
Austin Towers then, which makes more sense to me since the enterance
is actually on Austin Street, not Tongass Ave. Does anyone remember
when the name changed?

friends as I sit here at the computer keyboard in far away Palmer,
Alaska. I could never, ever forget Ketchikan or that first impression
of Ketchikan that awaited me when I arrived! It was a long time
ago. - More...
