My name is Bill Thomas Sr. and this is an official declaration of my candidacy for the office of the president of Ketchikan Indian Community 2006 election of officers as a write in candidate. I am in Seattle for medical treatment and will not be in Ketchikan the day of balloting. My medical schedule prevented me from participating in the usual candidacy process. Most of the tribal membership are aware of my physical health issues. However, I'm confident those will be resolved to allow me to perform the duties of the office of the president should I be successful in this bid. I would be honored to have you vote for me. I will not seek another term after a one year term. I just feel I have the experience and your confidence to demonstrate that experience and share it with those other elective counsel members as I've had the exposure necessary to be an effective decision maker. Please write in the name Bill Thomas Sr. on the ballet where it says "write in".
