I want to thank Marie Monyak for the beautifully written front page story in your publication. She went far begond the average "reporting" by gathering information from a number of sources and writing the story behind the story - information about Stephen's flying credentials and experience, his character, his flight the day before, and his family. This story portraying Stephen as a hero is of great comfort to our family. Thank you for a journalist, a newspaper, and a town that cares about someone "who was not known to anyone" in Ketchikan.
