Dear People of Ketchikan
Thank you so much for all the kind thoughts and prayers for the
family and friends of (Butch) aka, Stephen Freeman.
Butch was my very good friend. I cared and respected for him
very much. I do not have the right words to describe Butch, but
I know if you could have met him and talked with him a little
bit he would have been your friend to.
Butch was just great to be around, his love of life, his outlook
on things, his love of his family, just made you glad to be around
him.
Butch was the type of person you wanted to be, he was the type
of person you wanted your son or daughter to grow up to be. In
the short time I knew Butch, I really do feel like I am a better
person for having known him.
I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that Butch did everything he
could to avoid a tragedy that day. He was first and foremost
a profesional. He would, and believe he did, give life and limb
to avoid any injuries on the ground.
I hope everything gets back to normal for you all, and thanks
to all the people that helped at the crash site, and a special
prayer goes out to the people that sustained injuries. May they
have a speedy recovery and get back into their homes.
GOD BLESS YOU KETCHIKAN
BUTCH'S FRIEND
