Alaska Board of Game Extends
Statewide Meeting Dates

The Alaska Board of Game today announced that it is extending
its upcoming winter meeting by one day. The board is now
scheduled to meet January 27-30 in Anchorage at the 4th Avenue
Theatre to consider over 50 proposals pertaining to statewide
hunting and the use of game.
Proposals have been submitted by the Department of Fish and Game,
state advisory committees, and the general public seeking adjustments
to statewide hunting and trapping regulations applying to all
Game Management Units.
The deadline for providing written comments to ensure that they
are included in the Board of Game members' meeting binders is
5:00 pm on Friday, January 13, although written comments on specific
proposals are accepted up until the board begins deliberating
on the proposal.

The board will take oral public
testimony beginning Friday, January 27. Anyone wishing
to testify before the board must sign up at the meeting site
before the announced deadline. Public testimony
will continue until everyone who has signed up has been given
the opportunity to be heard.
