Snow Advice

I would like to say sorry to Jessica and the other drivers out
there that have real concerns about the snow and the bad behavior
that some drivers have towards them. Though it needs to be known
that if you are driving a vehicle with children in it that can't
pull out from the side of the road, then it is unsafe for you
to be on the road. It amazes me that we live in such a small
town and that some people without snow tires or four wheel drive
decide to drive anyway. They end up getting stuck and causing
many more traffic problems than the drivers that are using their
"middle finger". With all the accidents that can happen
if your car is not able to get around in the snow, then call
a friend and let those that are ready and prepared for the snow
do the driving. I have ridden with many people that get scared
or nervous during snowy conditions and they are usually the ones
that are not prepared. This can lead to serious accidents and
even death.
I wish we all could have more courtesy on the road and tailgating
someone that is going slow is never ok, especially in the snow
or ice. Though please do us all a favor and if you have to drive
25 MPH all the way out north and you car is unable to pull over
because it might get stuck, then stay at home and don't try to
drive a rear wheel vehicle without studs on dangerous corners
and roadways. I think the courtesy needs to go both ways.
For safety reasons please pull
over if you are feeling like you are being tailgated, don't try
and go faster if you are afraid. And if you drive a car that
is unsafe in the snow don't get mad at the people that are prepared
for the snowy conditions. It is more unsafe to have to swerve
around a car that is stuck in the snow, know your car and know
your limits as a driver and don't be angry at those that have
taken the time to prepare themselves for the winter conditions.
