Lack of enthusiasm?
By Kim Hendricks

Just a thought, if we continue to keep our eyes closed to what is happening in this community, shame on us. I do not wish to re-live the day that my young one and his friend and even younger sister were outside playing when a car almost ran them over on a dead end street. The driver was in a hurry so that they could take care of someone in another house in their own brutal way.

These kids were horrified! Why should we have to stand in the street with baseball bats (and we did!), while our neighbor was on the phone with the State Troppers and I can assure you that dispatch heard all the yelling. They did not show up for another hour. We witnessed the whole incident, which traumetized our children, we identified the car, could identify the people in the car, I called to follow up on the incident and it was not NICE - and certainly not a call they really felt like dealing with. Now, that is NOT protecting our community! At some point, people will take it into their own hands to protect.

That is not what this community needs and those trying to protect their own, will be charged because that is easier - as they will stand up and say YES I DID protect my family/neighbor, etc.!

Let's not blame our local State Troopers for their lack of enthusiasm, let's ask why ?
