Ketchikan Man Arrested On Heroin Charge

Investigation by the Troopers revealed that Oaksmith was in possession of 2 ounces of black tar heroin, which has a street value in Ketchikan of $28,345. The Alaska Bureau of Investigation's Southeast Alaska Cities Against Drugs (SEACAD) task force was called out and took over the investigation. Oaksmith was remanded at the Ketchikan Correctional Facility without bail on January 06, 2013. It should be noted, charges are merely accusations and a defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
