EVOLUTION: WHAT ARE WE TALKING
ABOUT?
by Dave Person

I want to thank George Miller,
Bob Ciminel, and Signe Markuson for their comments on evolution.
I also want to compliment Mr. Miller on the improvement in his
writing style. Clearly, to some folks evolution represents some
great spiritual enemy. That is unfortunate because it hopelessly
clouds an otherwise scientific discussion. I have described
the scientific definition of evolution in order to help facilitate
objective discussion of the topic. I urge readers to re-read
my February 2 posting on Sitnews titled "EVOLUTION".
Mr. Miller and Ms. Markuson appear to have very different ideas
of what evolution represents than do scientists like myself.
I urge Mr. Miller or Ms. Markuson to provide readers with their
definition of evolution so we all can decide if we are talking
about the same things.
