DOG POO/WARD LAKE
By Kathryn Smith
February 19, 2010
Friday AM
I PICKED UP AFTER YOUR DOG THE OTHER DAY.
IT WAS PRETTY NASTY, SOME
FRESH AND SMELLY STILL, SOME OLDER AND RAINED ON, WHICH MAKES
IF VERY DIFFICULT TO PICK UP. SO,I WAS WONDERING, IF YOU WOULD
MIND CLEANING UP AFTER YOUR OWN DOG ONCE IN A WHILE.
I'VE SEEN YOU, AT TIMES, JUST LOOKING FORWARD AS IF YOU DON'T
NOTICE OUT OF THE CORNER OF YOUR EYE, THAT YOUR DOG(S) ARE 'BUSY'
DEFECATING. THINKING TO YOURSELF, "OH GOOD! THAT'S ONE LESS
I HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT CLEANING UP AT HOME!"....YOU KNOW
IT'S TRUE.
IF YOU HAVE OR HAVE HAD, OR ARE EVER AROUND LITTLE KIDS, RUNNING
WITH RECKLESS ABANDON IN THE WIDE OPEN SPACES AT THE PARKS, RUNNING
TO PLAY, AND SKA-WISH!!!!!!!!!!!! EWWW, MO-OM!!! I STEPPED IN
DOG POO...
HOW THAT RUINS THE FUN. OR WORSE YET, IF THEY SLIP ON IT, AND
PLOP! SIT IN IT???
SO...LONG STORY SHORT, I HAVE A SUGGESTION. SAVE PLASTIC GROCERY
BAGS, NEWSPAPER SLEEVES, TUCK A FEW IN YOUR POCKET OR GLOVE BOX
OF YOUR CAR. WHEN THE TIME COMES, AND YOUR DOG DOES HER/HIS 'DUTY'
IN PUBLIC, PUT THE BAG ON YOUR HAND LIKE A GLOVE, REACH DOWN,
AND PICK UP THE PILE, TURN YOUR BAG INSIDE OUT AROUND THE PILE
OF YOUR DOG'S POO IN YOUR BAG THAT IS PROTECTING YOUR HAND, AND
DEPOSIT YOUR TIDY LITTLE BUNDLE IN ONE OF THE MANY CONVENIENTLY
PLACED NEARBY TRASH RECEPTACLES.
I THANK YOU, I'M SURE ANYONE WHO HAS HAD TO DEAL WITH YOUR PET'S
LEFT OVERS THANK YOU.
