I would assume not, considering that I have had this very argument every day since my child was " independent" and I have just learned to pick my battles carefully!!! It is not that I haven't provided the " cool" jackets or the "needed" jacket. (And have even tried buying the one she couldn't do without, to no avail). It has come down to the chosen arguments. Not all parents are irresponsible... Some of us have just learned that if they get cold enough they will use their brain and grab the "jacket" that they have been arguing about for the last 3 years. I myself have argued the "what if's and the danger of the weather" with this teen who seems to know more than anyone village, I do however agree the "young" mothers need to be held accountable for dressing their children appropriately. However not all of us parents are avoiding our duties!!! Try living with a teenager!!! J. Smith About: "Mother of a teenager" Received February , 2009 - Published February 26, 2010
