Dr. Jennie Crews, the director of the Cancer Center at PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center in Bellingham will in Ketchikan to see all patients with a diagnosis of cancer or blood disorders. Dr. Crews has over 18 years of experience in oncology in academic, private practice and hospital-based settings. She has a special interest and background in breast cancer, as well as in survivorship and nurse navigator programs for cancer patients. Dr. Crews was appointed Medical Director for Cancer Services at PeaceHealth St. Joseph Cancer Center and for the PeaceHealth Northwest Network in 2012. Previously she served as the Medical Director of the Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center in Washington, NC and held appointments as a Consulting Associate in the Department of Medicine, Division of Medical Oncology and Transplantation at Duke and as an Affiliate Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at East Carolina University. Dr. Crews received her B.S. in Biology with highest honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She earned her MD from Duke University and completed training in internal medicine and oncology at Duke, where she served as Assistant Chief Resident. She is a Fellow in the American College of Physicians and is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology.
