My husband and I purchased this property so that we could eventually develop the land for our future. Our construction business may be small, but we do work hard like everyone else and we depend on our land for our future.

Speaking for myself being born and raised in Ketchikan. I have seen the Bear Valley area without any houses, swimming pools, schools, jail, Indoor Recreation Center, library on the hill, Third Avenue Bypass, and new businesses.

We have relocated houses, built house pads, repaired roads and even worked for a Construction Company that broke ground and did all the ground work for that area. A lot of people in Bear Valley have benefited from the upper area from the rock and dirt work that came from that area. Past and present. We have not disturbed any wildlife, tourists, and have been very considerate of the residents that live in that area on the noise control.

I believe as land owners we too have rights, pay taxes, and are making our income as everyone else that feed their families, have a roof over their heads and pay their bills. So if being in what ever profession matters and some one wants to judge on how we make our living then so be it. We are hard working people and continue to help support our community. Not including the employees that we employ so they too can live, paying their bills and keeping a roof over their heads.

As construction workers, we see with our eyes wide open and what this land is worth to us, but in others eyes it may be a different view. As it stands we did our brainstorming on wanting to develop our property for our future. Choices of words such as lower the living standards of the residents in our town and in the valley is pretty powerful words in which was never in consideration at any time.

Sincerely Land Owner and Life Long Resident of Our Community.
