The First City Rotary raised funds through the 4th of July Rubber Duck race and Sande said the group researched and ordered play area equipment. Sande said, "Members of the First City Rotary then worked tirelessly for several days to improve drainage, complete the site work, and install the equipment." She said that construction began on March 5th and was completed March 14th. "The equipment is designed for young children (ages 3-5) and we encourage children with adult supervision to come and enjoy our garden," said Sande. Sande said, "The residents are able to enjoy watching the children and through continuing contact are able to build valuable relationships with the young people in our community. We are grateful to First City Rotary for their continued support of both the youth and elders in our community." Photos by Wendy Olson ©2005
