In his radio message this week, Alaska Governor Frank H. Murkowski reminded Alaskans that March 27th marks more than forty years since the anniversary of the 1964 earthquake centered near Anchorage.

Murkowski said, "This observance gives us an opportunity to thank all of the people in Alaska who help make our communities safe and respond in times of emergency."
