We apologize for any misunderstanding
By Dennis Pope

March 02, 2006
Thursday PM

Dear Mr. Rubin, this letter is in response to your letter of February 27, 2006 regarding the historic preservation of the Newtown area.

Your attendance at our meetings, your signature on the sign up sheet, and your indicating "Yes" in the "Use Name" column led us to believe we could use your name as a supporter. We apologize for any misunderstanding and will have you removed from our list and any advertising.

We are very much in support of keeping the historical aspects of Newtown preserved. Our main mission is to encourage the general public to make an informed decision when voting on April 11th. The renovation of berth II and City float will generate new enthusiasm in the Newtown area. In turn, the property owners will be encouraged to invest in a renaissance of the Newtown area. It was our understanding that both groups supported this idea and we still do.

We encourage everyone to get the information they need to make an informed decision. Please contact us at K4PE@hotmail.com for more information.

Please VOTE YES! April 11th. Ketchikan for a Positive Economy! PO Box 23021, Ketchikan AK 99901/Co-Chairs are Dennis Pope and Zig Ziegler

Sincerely,

Dennis Pope
Co-chair, Ketchikan For A Positive Economy
