I have many fond memories of Dick over the years. Many are little things that probably don't mean very much to anyone else. Dick and I were on opposite sides of the table for many years, he representing management's position, and I representing the Union's. Even though we had different positions, we always tried to, and were usually successful at finding a common middle ground that would satisfy both sides. I remember his love for automobiles and driving them. I know he had some hotrods - I wonder whatever became of the Firebird? I know Dick was a veteran. Like most, he never talked much about his experiences. He did have a special fondness for "Blackbirds," he showed all of us pictures and books about them. I know he cared a lot about his wife. That was obvious to those of us who were fortunate enough to have known him. Many of us will miss him. All of the SitNews family, the pilots who remember his gravelly voice on the radio, the ducks, geese, dogs, cats, peafowl, rabbits, and etc. Dick will live on in our memories.
