in Ketchikan

Many of you probably have a better memory of Ward Serrill when
he lived in Ketchikan than I do. I believe he was involved with
KRBD way back in the day, but I'm not sure in what capacity.
Perhaps someone can give us more details.
Ward's recently released, seven years in the making documentary
film, will be shown at the K-High auditorium Friday night, March
16th. The show starts promptly at 6pm.
"The Heart of the Game" captures the passion and energy
of a Seattle high school girls' basketball team, the eccentricity
of their unorthodox coach and the incredible TRUE story of one
player's fight to play the game she loves. It is rated PG13,
and there is some mature content.
This event is sponsored by Hoopmania Basketball, and donations
will be accepted at the door.
The film has received great reviews and the director's' website
has curriculum extensions for teachers. You will laugh, you
will cry and you will leave the movie cheering.
Don't miss the opportunity to see one of Ketchikan's own artists
and support a local sports program at the same time.
