Maxwell Selected As Senior Curator of Programs for Ketchikan Museums

(SitNews) Ketchikan, Alaska - The Ketchikan Museum Department announced Friday that local resident Anita Maxwell has been selected as the Senior Curator of Programs for the Tongass Historical Museum and Totem Heritage Center.

Prior to moving to Ketchikan in 2008, Maxwell worked for 8 years in multiple programmatic and administrative capacities for the Montana Natural History Center in Missoula, Montana. Since 2009, Maxwell has served as the Education Director and Operations Manager for the Ketchikan Area Arts & Humanities Council.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Montana. Quoting a news release, "Maxwell's diverse experience in developing and implementing public programs coupled with local knowledge and community partnership building makes her an excellent addition to the Museum Department."
