(SitNews) Ketchikan, Alaska - To protect the health of patients and caregivers as the number of confirmed novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases increases in the Northwest, PeaceHealth has implemented voluntary visitation restrictions at their Alaska and Northwest Washington hospitals.
PeaceHealth Ketchikan Medical Center - Ketchikan, Alaska

For the safety of PeaceHealth patients, family and caregivers, PeaceHealth is limiting access to the hospital to 1 to 2 essential visitors per patient. These restrictions will remain in place until further notice.

PeaceHealth asks that patients call ahead before arriving at any PeaceHealth facility if they meet both of the following:

  • Have recently traveled outside the United States or have been in contact with a person known to have COVID-19

    AND

  • Have symptoms including fever or upper respiratory infection symptoms (i.e. cough).

This process allows PeaceHealth to create a care plan that ensures the safety of both patients and caregivers.

PeaceHealth clinics may be experiencing higher than usual call volumes. Patients who are experiencing a medical emergency should call 911.
