Anti Life American Rescue (WHO?) Plan

By Rob Holston

The latest COVID-19 relief bill, known as the American Rescue Plan, has passed Congress and was signed into law by the President of ALL (except unborn) Americans, Biden on Thursday, March 11th. It provides $1.9 trillion in supposed relief for Americans. However, the irony is not lost on pro-lifers. This bill is intended to save lives, yet it will fund the deaths of unborn babies all over the country and the world.

One of the most egregious offenses in the bill is the elimination of the Hyde Amendment, which has been included in the past five COVID relief bills. The Hyde Amendment forbids most taxpayer dollars from funding abortions except in cases of rape, incest, or to save a mother’s life. According to the Charlotte Lozier Institute, since 1976, research indicates that the Hyde Amendment has saved over two million unborn children. The Hyde Amendment has actually received bipartisan support since its creation 44 years ago. Now it has been removed from this bill, forcing Americans to pay for abortions through their tax dollars. Besides the removal of the Hyde Amendment, the bill gives Planned Parenthood and the like further opportunities for funding. According to the analysis of the Family Research Council, over $459 billion spent through this bill can fund abortions through direct channels, subsidies for facilities/lobbying/health plans, and bailouts.  What a country.
