Farming Alder
by Donna Hamilton Baptista

John Stewart is right on the money! Alder is fast growing. Why
not have an Alder tree farm? Sometimes the answer can be right
in front of you (the corporations), but you can't see past your
(their) nose. Lowe's Hardware is selling kitchen cabinets made
from Alder. Alder is used in carving. I wanted Alder for interior
window trim - had to get it from Canada. Since you work with
Alder - how do you split it?
