Ketchikan, Alaska - Three Southeast Alaska boaters are safe after their boat became disabled near Ketchikan and a Coast Guard rescue crew assisted them. A Station Ketchikan rescue boat crew responded to an assistance request from three people aboard a 26-foot pleasure boat Saturday at 3:45 p.m. The boaters told Coast Guard search and rescue coordinators that their vessel became disabled, preventing them from transiting to a nearby lodge. safely towed the boat to Ketchikan.
