I, without hesitation agree with those that responded in a tone of admonishment to the original suggestion of absence of dignity in publishing this fine forum that so many enjoy, respect and appreciate and look forward to reading and participating at no fiscal cost to them. One of the easiest things to do to a neighbor is to criticize something about them without any remorse or compassion. It is more challenging to be the only one to show support, encouragement and appreciation for that same neighbor. I agree that the comments in the first letter of this topic was harsh, insensitive and very much uncalled for because the suggested pretense is in very obvious error. Mr.& Mrs. Kauffman were friends to all who used their forum to be heard. Mrs. Kauffman remains a sentinel for the cause they both enjoyed. There is a void in the team that made this possible, and the remaining team is undoubtedly still in need of thoughtfulness, support and understanding by all who have the talent, desire and willing to take time to do this. Debate is a healthy exercise and results in a well thought dialog of those who are able to debate. Criticism comes as an instinct
and doesn't always reflect its intent as the person doing the
criticizing. So harm comes in many forms. My point is like in
the movie "Bambi" - "If you can't say nuthin nice,
don't say nuthin at all". About: " A redisdent for 43 years and an active participant as a volunteer in attempt to be a positive contributor to the society of this fine community and leading by example with the virtue of respect with no exception." and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Sitnews.
