Drivers

May or may not be a stupid pet-pieve of mine, but why do 99.99% of drivers either drive too fast, or waaayyyyy too slow? It seems most are confused as to which driving habits they should use during each season.

For instance, during the winter months when "Black Ice" lurks everywhere, waiting to take a driver by surprise, will some stupid idiot pass another driver who is being cautious, when it is quite obvious that the roads are dangerous. It has happened to me and have watched it happen to quite a few other people. I might add that the ones passing are not always young drivers, but also people of age that should undoubtedly know better. Hello!!!!! Grow a brain!! I admit, I have not always had a spotless driving record, for when I was younger I had quite a lead foot and have received my share of speeding tickets. I will pass slow drivers....But not in the middle of winter, on icy roads!!!!!

Then during other seasons..Well or 2nd and seemingly only other season...Wet season, everybody slows down. Im not talking 5 under the speed limit. I'm talk'n when the speed sign says 50, the person in front is doing 35 and there is no need for it. What happen to the days when you came upon someone who was driving slow, that they would drive half-way on the shoulder to let others pass. Nooooo, not anymore. They don't care if they got a carravan of 10 other cars behind them.

What's worse, the cops don't care. For those of us that live 10+ miles north of town that have schedules to keep such as taking kids to school, before work. Grabbing that much needed java boost, we have things down to a science on when we need to leave and such, but when you get one of these ridiculously slow drivers who think they must drive 40 and under all the way to town, they can make us late for everything. If I had the money I would give the city and borough enough money to make a lane just for these drivers who think they're driving Miss Daisy!

About: " Born and raised in Ketchikan, Ak. Moved back 3 years ago after spending 7 years in Colorado. Have had a driver's license since I was 17. Never been pulled over or had my license revoked for drunk'n driver. Consider myself to me a aggressive/defensive driver, maybe sometimes impatient driver."
