In today's Ketchikan Daily News 4/4/11 editorial column the subject of Rep. Carl Gatto's bill to establish that all judicial actions within the State of Alaska will be conducted under the terms of the State of Alaska Constitution and the U.S. Constitution. The stated purpose of the bill (HR88) is to confirm that these two documents will be the ONLY factors considered in Alaska courts. The author(s) of the editorial offer a straw man argument that this effort is a waste of the short legislative session, decried by Representative Gatto as a sidebar issue would prefer a longer session that Sharia Law has not been a factor in Alaska courts (to date). The effort of the editorial is to deflect from the fact that Sharia Law, that used by the Muslim Nations, has in fact be a issue in various States in America, where similar successful legislative efforts have been made to stop the inclusion of Sharia Law into individual States judicial systems. One could draw a conclusion that the effort by the Ketchikan Daily News was to lull the public into believing that Representative Gatto was involved with a radical issue that has not been an issue, not that Representative Gatto efforts are proactive in preventing a future effort to utilize Sharia Law in Alaska courts. In America, we have a distinct separation between Government and Religion. In Islam, the two are intertwined. So, my response to the issue is two fold. The first is "When in Rome, do as the Romans do". If you desire Sharia law as your rule of law, then move to a Country that allows Sharia Law. Don't let the barn door hit you in the Burka as you leave. The second fold is to remind the general public that Islam is estimated to be 10% "Radical". That amounts to some "Hindered of thousands" in the Radical column. Following is the intent of that 10%, many who are in leadership positions . According to Brigitte Gabriel, Chair of "American Congress for Truth" http://www.actforamericaeducation.com/ There is a high number of "Cells" in America that subscribe to the leadership of this "Radical" 10%. Here is the thrust of what the World intent of Radical Islam's goal is. Please note the use of Sharia within the contents. "Those who study jihad will understand why Islam wants to conquer the whole world. All the countries conquered by Islam or to be conquered in the future will be marked for everlasting salvation. For they shall live under Allah s law (Sharia). Islam says: Kill [the non-Muslims], put them to the sword and scatter their armies. Islam says: Whatever good there is exists thanks to the sword and in the shadow of the sword! People cannot be made obedient except with the sword! The sword is the key to paradise, which can be opened only for holy warriors (jihadists)! There are hundreds of other Koranic psalms and hadiths (sayings of the prophet) urging Khomeini, Thornton emphasizes, reiterated these views upon assuming power: "The great prophet of Islam carried in one hand the Koran and in the other a sword; the sword for crushing the traitors and the Koran for guidance. Islam is a religion of blood for the infidels but a religion of guidance for other people. We shall export our revolution to the whole world. Until the cry There is no God but God resounds over the whole world, there will be struggle Muslims to value war and to fight. Does all that mean that Islam is a religion that prevents men from waging war? I spit upon those foolish souls who make such a claim. Those who know nothing of Islam pretend that Islam counsels against war. Those [who say this] are witless." For my part, on Sharia LawI don't need to be kicked in the teeth to get my attention. I profile and remain alert. I thank Representative Gatto and his co-sponsors for their collective efforts on this matter. A.M.Johnson About: "Senior that resists having the wool pulled over my eyes."
