Friday PM
First City Council on Cancer completed another wonderfully successful annual St. Patrick’s Day Auction on Saturday, March 12, 2011. This year’s auction total was $60,000. Once again our mission as an organization was fulfilled. We could not have accomplished that mission without the support provided by so many friends and volunteers. First City Council on Cancer is grateful for the many people who supported us this past year and who continue to support us year after year. We would like to recognize some of the additional community supporters and fundraisers:
- The Plaza Mall for “A few Good Men” – $19,000.00.
- Kayhi Girls Basketball Team for “Lady’s Pink Knight” - $1,900.00.
- North Point Higgins Children and Staff “Bake Sale and Movie Night” - $1,500.00.
- Ketchikan Yacht Club for their “2nd Annual Corn Beef and Cabbage Dinner” - $1,000.00.
- Artic Bar for “Love the Judge Night” - >$1,000.00.
- “Open House for the Day Spa’s New Place” Fundraiser (free haircuts, massages and a drawing for a total makeover) – all donations sent to FCCC - $1,436.06.
Thank you for making it possible for us to continue to provide support to our friends, families, and neighbors who are struggling to cope with cancer.
Sincerely,
The Board of First City Council on Cancer
