Thirteen Graduate From Ketchikan Construction Academy

This year, thirteen students completed 9 credits from the University of Alaska Southeast Ketchikan in Construction Technology including Basic Construction Techniques, Building Technology I and Building Technology II. Students were certified in First Aid/CPR, OSHA Safety, and Forklift Safety. Additionally, student practiced interviewing skills and prepared resumes with the Ketchikan Job Center staff. Over the course of four months, the graduating students received over 200 hours of course work and certification as preparation for employment in the construction industry.
