Unborn should be protected By Rob Holston

Ruth, holds the popular yet sophomoric opinion that there is no human life ended by an abortion. HOW ABSURD. A successful abortion is by definition, terminating a human life! Death is defined legally by when the heart and brain stop functioning. Ruth, do you know that a baby?s heart beats two weeks after conception? I certainly agree with Justice Ruth Bader-Ginsburg saying “........ (Roe V. Wade) ........moved too far too fast.” 40 years ago the Supreme Court was also ignorant of when human life begins. But now, science agrees without exception: “Life begins at conception.” Justice Harry Blackmun wrote 40 years ago: “If this suggestion of personhood IS ESTABLISHED, the appellant?s case, OF COURSE, collapses, for the fetus? right to life is then guaranteed specifically by the 14th Amendment.” Present day science proves the rights of the unborn should be protected by the 14th Amendment. It also proves that forward thinking states like Arkansas and North Dakota are bending towards the light of scientific truth. A generation from now when human life IS protected from conception by law, the opinions of Ruth Marcus and those like her will appear historically as antiquated as pro-segregationists in the 1960?s and pro-slavery advocates in the 1840?s. I agree with Washington Post?s Writers Group, George F. Will, “If you pay for an abortion, you are owed a dead baby.” Ruth, you and all pro-choice advocates have a right to be pro-choice but know and deal with this truth. All successful abortions KILL an innocent human being. That?s the truth, Ruth. Rob Holston
