Thanks for realism By Marie Zellmer April 10, 2014
I greatly admire those who can carry and give birth to babies even knowing they will only have a few brief hours of life (although I would not have wanted my baby to remember life as a few hours of pain). And I am saddened that all the joy of motherhood was reduced to the fear and loss of a child. But again I say I admire them, i do, and i would be happy to hear that they had a healthy child that lives a long loving life, after losing one. My own sister was upset when she heard about my procedure because she really wanted to be a mother, and after two miscarriges she had a boy, and another miscarrige after. She loves her boy, and so do I, but even she would rather I be alive over the possibility of having a niece or nephew. I would also like to say that no one should get an abortion unless they feel there is no other choice, and that they should make that decision in the first trimester when the procedure is safest (when a simple vacume can remove the tiny lump of genetic material). Any later term procedures should be life saving for women only. If a woman cant decide fast enough, than have a baby, because doubt can lead to guilt. No one who gets an abortion should feel either. Also I am glad to hear that the whole standing on the corner thing had a purpose, and that the funds from a benefit are going to help mothers. It would have been nice if even one of the signs they held on the corner stated something to that effect, or that the postings that I called idiotic had said something. Context people, we need context to understand! Although I would like to point out one thing, even those who don't choose abortion have that choice. Even if they would never do it, and consider it murder, for a second in their mind the option is there, and that is what the anti-abortionists want to take away entirely. The option.
