We moved to Ketchikan in 1990 and Dana Bushnell was one of the
first people we met there. In fact, most of my memories of Ketchikan
include Dana in one way or another and I can't quite imagine
Ketchikan with him. He was a wonderful friend and a great soul
and he will be greatly missed.
On Saturday night, at the same time that his "Celebration
of Life" began (8:30 our time), Diane, Tim, Gary & I
had our own memorial service here in Pampa, TX. We watched an
old video of the 1993 KHRA Rodeo (Dana made his entrance on the
screen right at 8:30), made a toast to Dana (okay, several toasts!)
and remembered all the great times we shared. We wish we could
have been there with all of you.
Goodbye Dana, it was an honor to have known you. You'll be in
our hearts forever.
