Resolve the conflict at the table

My opinion is, the issues or conflicts that were brought forth in a form of a recall could have and should have been resolved at the council table. I have attended most of the tribal council meetings this past year and there have been times I did not like what I witnessed. I believed there was and is a better way to deal with the conflicts.

But also I need to say there has been positive changes at KIC. I think there has been too much focus on the negative. The Tribal Council should be bringing positive policy forward, not negative.

I also understand the need for respectful meetings and proactive meetings. Also open government is strong government. With those comments, I will say there was a conflict with the vote taken at the Tribal Council meeting concerning the recall. Also, there should be a policy about who can bring forth a recall. Like a policy stating that a Tribal Council member should not be able to bring forth a recall and then vote on it. To me that does not seem to be fair to the person being recalled.

A recall at this time is counter productive for KIC. There are more important items on the table to be worked on. That is why I do not support a recall. This is my opinion about what is best for KIC and their members. And as a member concerned about KIC, I will not sign any recall. I just hope and pray the Tribal Council could resolve this conflict at the table.

Thank you,
