Governor Signs Boating Legislation
Extends program to 2010

Juneau, Alaska - Governor Frank Murkowski signed the Alaska State
boating legislation Monday, extending the state's boating program
from 2005 to 2010. The boating legislation was drafted by Republican
Rep. Bruce Weyrauch.
Looking on during the signing
is the prospective 17th Coast Guard District Commander, Rear
Adm. James Olson and Rep. Weyrauch's daughter, Maria Weyrauch.
Rear Admiral Olson will relieve Rear Adm. James Underwood during
a change of command ceremony in Juneau Wednesday.
