I am writing in support of the objection Mr. Peter Bolling has to the consideration of rezoning Baranof Avenue. All of his points are accurate and his reasons supporting them are justified. That area is just not the place to consider a rezone of that nature. This is a small community and the Boles family are my friends. They have their reasons for this request. However, this particular one is quite inappropriate. It is a constant struggle to keep the infrastructure of Ketchikan to give the citizens the quality of existence they desire. And I don't see that as unreasonable. The vigilance of members of this community is what provides the balance needed for a practical infrastructure of Ketchikan. and they continue to do a great job of it. I would ask the planning and zoning to deny this request to rezone Baranof. Bill Thomas Sr.
