Photograph by Carl Thompson ©2005 Schofield, who co-chaired the event along with Carl Webb, said Tuesday, "Right now, we are sitting at approximately $26,000 and are still waiting to hear about the visitor industry walk on Friday the 13th. They usually generate $2,000 to 3,000 more." The Top team was IBEW and the Top Walker was long-time walker and teenager Sarah Eichner. Best Checkpoint was Gateway City Realty. They provided a display of a local preemie baby who is now 8-years old and thriving. Schofield said, "Just a true testament to what research and development can do for our babies. It makes our work very worthwhile." Schofield said, "There were many great checkpoints manned by various groups and businesses. I would be greatly remiss if I did not mention that A&P was our anchor sponsor again this year. Their staff made sure we were set up and ready on time, they provided water to all walkers prior to walk and then provided lunch for walkers upon their return. They also held their BBQ open to the public, raising more funds for the March of Dimes."
