Safety priorities
By Tony Alenskis

I just can't believe with all the road work being done around
the Tunnel that the sidewalk between the Old Coffee Connection
north toward the Harbor's northern most entry to the dock was
left its tiny (can't be legal) width.
You have to step off the sidewalk
into the road to let an oncoming pedestrian get by. Soon the
tour busses will be parking in their designated loading zone
to compound the problem. Come on Ketchikanites let's get our
safety priorities back into the picture of the future of Ketchikan.
And I don't want to hear you can use the other side of the street.
I could also use the Third Street bypass!
