America can afford to send our troops thousands of miles away from home to train troops in another country and finally we can actually post our troops in America to protect our own borders. It would be better if those troops were used to train the volunteers to patrol our borders and call upon more volunteers to patrol around the clock. I know the second amendment gives them the right to bear arms, but has anyone given them (minutemen) a background check, or drug tested? Look at the situation now, every Tom, Dick and Harry are showing up at the borders wanting to help, but how much do they actually know about border patrol? That's why I think it's important for the troops to be training the minutemen, to make them legal and official, it might save someone from a lawsuit later on. And also, when I see our borders
patrolled the way it is, it should remind people in America that
we are getting closer to what is called: A Police State, it's
right around the corner, you see guards at Airports, Federal
Buildings, Public buildings, Train Stations, etc. So enjoy what
'freedom' you have left, and don't forget, freedom is costly,
but isn't all the protection worth saving your family and friends
from a possible terror attack that may someday slip through the
borders? It's no longer fiction, it could happen. About: Long time resident of
