Thank You Ketchikan

Tuesday AM
Dear Ketchikan Residents, I have been living in Ketchikan for
the last 5 1/2 years. I consider it my home. I recently was in
a boating accident and spent 3 hours in the cold Gulf of Alaska
on my way to fish herring and Salmon. I was traveling on the
Northern Belle that went down quickly in the Gulf. It was a both
horrifiy and life changing experience. I wanted to write because
it was noted in several sources that I was from various places
in the Northwest. I have been avoiding national media.
I wanted to thank Ketchikan
for all the support and love I have recieved and be very clear
that I consider Ketchikan where I am from. I am proud of Ketchikan
and especially proud that all of you who helped shape my life
before this happened, preparing me to endure, preservere, overcome
and enjoy the simple things in life. Thru grace I was calm, fought
and survived.
In the true spirit of Alaska
and the true gritty get the job done in your own way, I am proud
to say I am from SOMEWHERE-Ketchikan Alaska. Bridge to NOWHERE-
my ass. Thank you. Can't wait to heal and come visit.
