AN OPEN LETTER TO CITY COUNCIL By Teri J. Wilson May 13, 2014
I think that you should give credit to those that have chosen non-smoking for their businesses. It shows that these business people can regulate their own without interference from you. Smoking cigarettes, while maybe unpleasant for non-smokers, is LEGAL. For you to spend your time on an issue of this sort makes me think you don't have enough to do. Have you even thought about enforcement issues? We don't have enough policemen in town to deal with REAL crime, let alone asking them to enforce something like this. To those businesses who choose to remain a place to smoke, good for you, and I will patronize you. City council, don't just blindly follow what other communities do, think for yourselves. Let business owners choose how to run their businesses, you have no right to tell them how. Teri J. Wilson
