Real Facts About the Bridge
by Rick Grams
June 27, 2004
Sunday
Most of us have seen or heard about the newspaper articles from
the lower forty-eight. Too bad the figures are wrong. The Census
Bureau reports that Ketchikan had a population of 14,070 people in the year 2000 .
We also verified last year that the bridge would not interfere
with any graves on Pennock Island. As someone had mentioned,
there are federal laws that prohibit such activity. We had this
same discussion over a year ago. (Grams' Letter 03/10/03 and Hoff's Letter 03/10/03)
Those are the real facts.
