The true facts: 1. Governor Frank Murkowski, R-Alaska and family owns property on Gravina Island. In my opinion, is a conflict of interest? 2. The bridge to Gravina Island via Pennock Island will further cause desecration of our Tribal Graves on Pennock Island, just having easy access to the island. 3. Boston's Big Dig was a 20/20 story and it was talking about government wastes of federal tax payers' dollars. To have $315 million dollars of our tax payer dollars for speculation of economic growth and to mention only a few people actually live on the island today? As an American tax payer, I do not have to live in Ketchikan where I was born and raised to say NO to Rep. Don Young's, R-Alaska pork-barrel spending on Ketchikan's boon-doggle bridge. $315 million dollars! I will predict the price tag will go up. I am also indigenous to Ketchikan and all surrounding lands since time and memorial. I have inherit rights, God given rights and responsibility to the Tribe to project our Tribal graves and lands from any encroachment by anybody at our grave sites no matter where I am living. In closing, I do not distort facts. I am only protecting my Culture, Tribe, Family and Tribal ancestors that are buried on Pennock Island. I will be moving back to Ketchikan one day and I would rather enjoy taking the airport ferry across Tongass Narrows than looking at an ugly bridge that only benefits opulent people and termite people. This is my opinion only. Don Hoff Jr.
