Downing Street memo originals
By Doug Basham

Josh Cook FYI, in an interview with David Gregory on MSNBC, the reporter, Michael Smith said he did not destroy the originals. He said he made copies and then returned the originals to his source. He then had a secretary type from the copies, and the copies were destroyed.

The Downing Street memo contains the official minutes of a high level British meeting. Stop trying to defend the indefensible. Your boy Bush is a serial liar and a war criminal. Read what Bush said to Mickey Herskowitz, a former Houston Chronicle sports columnist who'd been signed on to ghostwrite Bush's autobiography.

"One of the keys to being seen as a great leader is to be seen as a commander-in-chief. My father had all this political capital built up when he drove the Iraqis out of Kuwait and he wasted it. If I have a chance to invade---if I had that much capital, I'm not going to waste it. I'm going to get everything passed that I want to get passed and I'm going to have a successful presidency."

Those of us who have been paying attention the past 4 years, who look past Faux News and conservative talk radio were saying the same thing long before the Downing Street memo came out. If the American mainstream media hadn't become so conservatively corporatized, they wouldn't need the memo either. And if you cared even a fraction as much about your country as you do your party, you'd be calling for an investigation into the memo's assertions. If your boy is so innocent, why would you not?
