Ketchikan Roads
By Charles Moon

Just a quick thought on our highways
and streets here in Ketchikan: Instead of building a road from
the airport to Lewis Reef how about fixing the roads we drive
on everyday? Instead of building a bridge to Gravina let's spend
some "Pork Barrel" money on improving the infastructure
where it is used the most, on our road system.
All of the main roads need
improvements such as widening, bike paths, and shoulders to walk
on. Paving without deep ruts and large holes. Better lighting
on the dark highway corridors. Better drainage.
The people who drive on South
Tongass Highway have my deepest sympathy, there are better roads
in most third world countries.
Thanks for letting speak my
piece, I feel a lot better now.
