Ketchikan Airport Insanity

I dropped off my husband on the airport side for his 5:30 flight.
We were told it would be arriving at 7 pm. We wanted to go have
some dinner but the wife was not a ticket holder so the spouse
goes upstairs by himself to wait. At 9 pm, there was still no
plane.
I could have waited or taken
him back across, but being the skin flint that I am, why should
I pay again.
Why can't the borough help
with this insanity??
