By ranking number one in the Best Western system, this signifies the property did not receive one complaint over the past 12 months. The ranking was based on the number of complaints received over a yearlong period. Each Best Western in North America is ranked in conjunction with the feedback provided by Best Western guests via telephone, email and mail. "This recognition is a testament to how hard each associate at the Best Western Landing Hotel has worked," said Rich Johnson, director of customer care for Best Western International. "To maintain this level of customer care takes focus, dedication and a true spirit of hospitality." In 2006 the Best Western Landing completed a 6.5 million dollar expansion giving them 107 spacious rooms along with an attractive banquet and conference facility. The Best Western Landing Hotel also features a popular restaurant and pub, plus a complimentary local shuttle for guests. The hotel is located on Revillagigedo Island in the coastal town of Ketchikan, Alaska; Alaska's first city and salmon capital of the world and near a variety of attractions, including Totem Heritage Center, Tongass National Forest and Gravina Island. Many rooms at The Best Western Landing Hotel offer a scenic ocean view. "We are extremely proud of our team for reaching such a high level of performance. We continually focus on ensuring an outstanding experience for each of our customers," said Kay Sims & Terry Wanzer, owners of the Best Western Landing Hotel.
