Local radio dropping RUSH

The following is written as a public service. Recently KTKN radio station announced that effective July 1st, the station with locations in Ketchikan, Sitka, and Juneau have or are dropping the Rush Limbaugh program from their schedule. Inquiry as to the reason was given the fiscal disappointment of revenue. When asked if there was a political venue related to the action, I was assured that there was and is no such pressure. When the question of what is anticipated to replace the Rush programming that will result in equal or additional revenue during the three hour period, there was no response other than Drop by the station sometime by the general manager.
That as a response to my being in flux with travel plans for a specific appointment to discuss.
As much in this day of change in technology, the dropping of Rush from KTKN is not the earth shattering disappointment as it would be in the past. Access to the Rush program can be obtained at the same hour by bookmarking a online computer site allowing one to run the program in the background as one does their daily work. Plugging in earpieces allows the privacy of listening. Accessing the following site
http://newstalk1290.com/show/rush-limbaugh-live/ one will have access to a second additional option to obtain an app for placing Rush on your phone allowing you hear Rush at all times where ever phone access is available.
It is not intended to promote out of town listening. This writer promotes purchasing local in all possible instance. There is no intent to be critical of the station owners decision, they are making a marketing decision. In that, best wishes to the owners on this decision going forward.
Happily for my personal self and perhaps others listening from North Tongass area, the static free reception online will be a plus.
