(SitNews) Ketchikan, Alaska - An informal rally was organized to highlight the choice to deny service by Heavenly Creations for a same sex marriage planned later this summer.
Kathleen Verela was attempting to order floral arrangements and was told that the business wouldn't help them. Safeway in Ketchikan accommodated the wedding flower order for Kathleen Verela for her son Tommy Verela and his same-sex fiancé.
However, Kathleen Verela was troubled with the denial of service by Heavenly Creations and wanted to show support for her son and the rally grew organically from a FaceBook post.
It appeared that several hundred supporters lined the promenade on Friday, June 5th.
